The Main Reason to Heal Your Body from Stress and Toxins

Sharing is caring!

Hello lovely readers!  My name is April, and I’m thrilled to embark on this adventure with you.  You will learn the main reason to heal your body from stress and toxins in this article. As a Health Educator I have spent most of my career teaching people how to create a lifestyle of health and wellness. I have taught those who are young and want to start their lives as healthy as possible, to those who are seasoned in life and now have a chronic condition.  I show people ways to heal their bodies from stress and toxins to reduce the chances of developing a chronic illness, ultimately improving their outcomes for optimal health.

I’m not just talking about sickness, like the common cold.

I’m talking about chronic illness, disease, and even death.  Beware of long term stress related to a job, relationships, unhealed trauma, or a major life event. If untreated, stress can lead to hypertension, elevated stress hormones, heart attacks, and stroke. I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact of stress, poor diet, and exposure to toxins on people’s lives and health; and how devastating the effects could be.

Toxins can be trapped in the body, when it is under stress.  It becomes difficult for the body to process these toxins and for other body systems to function normally. So the build up of toxins that otherwise get flushed out, are now creating a hazardous environment.  Waste removal isn’t happening effectively.

Most of the time, signs of stress and toxicity go unnoticed.  The symptoms start out gradual, like brain fog, sleeplessness, skin issues, fatigue, depression and trouble with memory. These symptoms can manifest into bigger illnesses for some people. Often, toxins and chemical exposure are the root cause of their chronic condition.  An increasing number of clinicians and scientists are becoming convinced that these chemical exposures contribute to obesity, endometriosis, diabetes, autoimmune disease, allergies, cancer and other diseases. So, have you figured out the #1 reason to heal your body from stress and toxins?

Toxins are Everywhere!

Toxins are everywhere in our lives and it is impossible to completely avoid them.  I mean they are in everything from human-made household cleaning products, cosmetics, clothing, etc… to toxins that are naturally found in the environment like lead, mercury, cadmium, radon, arsenic, benzene, and formaldehyde.

But that’s okay!

Either way, I have decided to make this conscious effort to reduce my exposure to as many as possible in an effort to prevent disease and improve the quality of my life and the ones of my family. We cannot control exposure to all toxins, but we can impact the amount we take into or onto our bodies.  We do have the power to remove some from our lives, completely, and swap for natural alternatives.  So, to me this seems like a no-brainer way to begin making a change.

It’s Not Too Late

You see, even though I am a Health Educator with the knowledge of how to live a life of complete wellness, that doesn’t mean I haven’t made mistakes in my own life.  Heck, I have even gone off the wellness path a few times!  We all fail from time to time. We all make decisions that may have been the wrong ones.  But what’s most important is acknowledging those mistakes and getting back up, and on the right path again. It’s not too late to begin your journey of wellness.  Start with picking one area to make a difference.

When I look at healing a body, I think of putting out the fires as the most important place to start. Once the smoldering is finished, then we can begin to heal. The first fire that needs to be extinguished is the the unregulated nervous system. Check out this post for a FREE guide to help learn this practice.

Discovering Self Care as the Answer

This blog is a safe space where I’ll share my own journey of self-care to reduce stress and remove toxins, along with valuable insights on the health benefits and sustainable choices we can make together.

There are so many reasons I have decided to start this journey, but one turning point in my life was when I realized the chronic stress that I was living with for over a decade caused me to lose sight of my own health and wellbeing. This realization awakened me to the possibilities that others are probably burdened with stress induced illness too.

In addition to stress, scientists have discovered there’s an association between exposure to certain chemicals and an increased risk of developing chronic illnesses and diseases. So, my goal is to reduce chances of developing a chronic illness or disease in my own life and life of my family.  By ruling out the known disease-causing factors, that I have some control over like chronic stress, poor diet, and toxins, I will be on the right path!
