Pumpkin Spice Latte

Equipment

  • espresso or coffee maker
  • Whisk Milk Frother
  • Nutmeg Grater With Storage
  • Glass Coffee Mugs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee use decaf if preferred
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
  • 2 Tbs sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup milk can use almond or oat
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice optional for iced version
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream optional for topping

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, milk and condensed milk. Cook for 2-3 minutes until warm and fragrant.
  • Add the brewed espresso and vanilla extract, stirring well.
  • Pour into a mug or glass with ice for an iced version.
  • Top with frothed or whisked heavy cream
  • Optional: sprinkle of cinnamon and grated nutmeg for an extra treat.

Notes

I prefer to use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.  Canned puree is just fine.
