Ingredients

cup
brewed espresso or strong coffee
use decaf if preferred
1/2
cup
unsweetened pumpkin puree
2
Tbs
sweetened condensed milk
1/2
cup
milk
can use almond or oat
1/2
tsp
pumpkin pie spice
or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves
1
tsp
vanilla extract
Ice
optional for iced version
1/2
cup
heavy whipping cream
optional for topping
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, milk and condensed milk. Cook for 2-3 minutes until warm and fragrant.
Add the brewed espresso and vanilla extract, stirring well.
Pour into a mug or glass with ice for an iced version.
Top with frothed or whisked heavy cream
Optional: sprinkle of cinnamon and grated nutmeg for an extra treat.
Notes
I prefer to use pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Canned puree is just fine.
