For some it may bring back memories of sitting in the bleachers at a football game, or kicking off boots to cozy up to a fire after a snowy hike. Maybe you have always held a pumpkin spice latte while window shopping for the holidays.
Either way it’s easy to see why pumpkin coffee drinks have become a seasonal staple: they’re comforting and decadent, offering both a caffeine boost and a bit of holiday cheer in a cup.

Pumpkin Golden Milk
The first time I had one of these, I was awakened to one of the most soothing drinks I have ever had. The turmeric has a distinct flavor and has been known for hundreds of years as a healthy spice.
In Indian culture, one memorable use for turmeric was as a wellness drink when sick, (or catching a cold). Turmeric can help with many conditions, according to John’s Hopkins Medicine because of it’s antioxidant properties. People in the Indian culture have added it to warm milk to ward away the germs of the common cold and bring about healing.
This is one of my all-time favorite pumpkin drinks! Not only is this an alcohol free (mocktail), but it contains turmeric, making it an anti-inflammatory drink with added benefits.
This is the perfect drink for relaxing in the evening, before going to bed. It can aid digestion and improve mood, so give this warm pumpkin drink a try as a healthy way to end the day during the fall season and help prevent illness.
make sure you buy some Organic Ceylon Cinnamon sticks to stir the Golden Milk with. It’s essential to use all natural organic stick like these for that added touch and aroma.

Pumpkin Smoothie
Smoothies are a great way to start your day. You can combine so many healthy things in one drink, but have you ever thought to add pumpkin?
It’s best to use pureed pumpkin for it’s creamy texture. I use the canned kind, but you can cook your whole pumpkins by roasting the flesh and then making your own puree. Simply cut them in half and remove the seeds and guts. Then, roast on a sheet pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees fahrenheit. Scoop out the cooked flesh and puree in a blender.
Adding pureed pumpkin to your smoothie feeds your gut microbiome and supports a balanced blood sugar. Pumpkin is a good source of fiber and can make you feel full longer, so it’s a great addition to breakfast. And be sure to buy yourself one of these Nutmeg Grater with Storage kitchen gadgets to make it simple to add this spice as fresh as possible!
